Best Friend - What Makes A Best Friend?

"Best friends are the siblings God forgot to give us."

Friendship is indeed an awesome relationship that requires nothing but selfless dedication. As the famous saying goes,

"To have a best friend, you have to be the best friend",

so ‘the vitamin that makes a great friend is B1’.

But what exactly makes one so? Well! There are many differences in opinions about the ideal qualities of a good friend. Some say "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me", on the other hand, many feel that "A true friend walks in when others walk out."

However, what makes a one an epitome of friendship, is that selfless devotion which makes one ever ready to work in shifts if needed. A true companion is one, on whom you can count on for anything, be it any sort of help, encouragement or support and that too in any damn situation.

As I am not saying that he/she must be with you all the time, but must be there when you need him/her the most. A friend in need may actually be not a friend indeed; on the other hand, a friend, who listens to the words said by your silence, is indeed a true one.

Some say "A great comppanion is he, who overlooks your failures and tolerates your success" but somehow, such precious gems are quite difficult to be found. On the contrary, in the quaint world of today, we can often find friends, who can’t tolerate your success and just love to see your failure.

If you are with a person, who is your friend in a true sense, then you share any damn secret without the need of saying, not to tell anybody, as you know that he/she is not going to stab you at the back and that very person is definitely not going to spread any sort of rumours about you. A real companion is never a stealer, be it your love or any of your precious other thing, that you yourself can give him/her happily.

However, he/she can make you laugh, even when you are feeling too low, is highly desirable. A best friend must have that knack of guiding you towards perfection, without giving you any idea about this process.

To conclude, I would just like to say, that a best friend is like God, hard to find, but once you find HIM, HE is always there for your well-being.
