How to get to Know Someone

As they say "Even a lifetime is not enough to know a person completely" but what is more amusing is that still we live in an illusion of knowing each and every thing about someone. At one moment we feel that we know the real-self of the person very well but after some time we realize that he has many strange and unknown traits. So does it mean that we can never know a person completely and will just keep on living in this illusion! How can we know somebody completely and what are those steps that can help us in this curious exercise? Well! Speaking extremely frankly there is no sure shot formula to know a person completely but yes there are some certain hints that can help you in judging a person:

(1.) Bring out the normal-self - do try and check out how a person behaves with people of different age groups! Usually it is seen that people are conscious of their public appearance and thus they just do what is expected from them, so try to find out the behaviour of that person when he/she is alone with someone (Am I making you feel like Sherlock Homes?). It has nothing to do with detective sort of thing as you can normally notice these things without getting into any type of fuss. Just catch a glimpse of his/her normal self and you will definitely be able to gather some invaluable information about that person.

(2.) Never judge a person from what he/she is wearing, as what matters are not the clothes or the accessories but the heart and mentality of the person. As a famous saying in women goes "A man is known by the shoes he wears", but the fact is that that this saying is just a complete waste and useless. I am saying so after meeting an Indian saint (sadhu) who was shoeless and I am still wondering what women would get to know from it. On the other hand that saint was fond of astrology and miraculously brought out the truths about my life (Am I preaching Superstition?). So to counter attack the women’s saying some men would say "A women is known by the heel she wears". Thus, just use a little bit of the brain as these sayings are of no use

(3.) Observation - Also to know a person, one has to do nothing but just observe him/her. The Body language of a person also plays a vital part in bringing out the real self of that person. Also "actions speak louder than words" and "eyes are the mirror of the personality", read The Power of Body Language and keep in mind the all essential points.

(4.) For further enquiring about the different traits of a person, one can check out the favorite books of the person or find out the type of friend circle one has, as it is aptly believed that the type of friends a man has clearly indicates the hidden inner self of that man. ‘A man is known by the company he keeps’ is an old saying but it is quite trustworthy.

Knowing a person completely is like taming a wild horse, the more you try, the more it would get wilder. But once you tame it, you get a ride of your life.
