Most Common Problems of Tall Women

To someone we might be just the ideal person but deep down within ourselves, all of us dread to change something or the other. There is always a part of us which often feels that if it hadn’t been there, then we would be just perfect. But instead of gnawing ourselves with the persistent thought, why not try to make it our best asset. Every person, whether short or tall, slim or heavy, always has something to bicker on. Short women often wish how good would it have been if they were even an inch taller, but for those women who are above 6 feet, even half an inch taller is like a burden for them.

Though tall things look good and no doubt most of the beautiful things are big and tall but among women being tall can be a cause of severe distress. In every aspect of their life, it can cause them emotional stress. Though short women might not understand the dilemma of tall women but there are a number of problems involved with tall ones. Take the simple example of wearing a dress or a skirt for that matter. They must carefully choose the length of the skirt. Either a knee length or just beneath the knee length skirt would best compliment tall women. It might sound a little frustrating and difficult to hear it but it is not so. All you need to do is to understand your body.

Posture is another common problem of tall women. They tend to droop or slouch in order to hide those extra heights. Teenagers who are taller than their friends tend to face with such problems. They tend to have an inferiority complex which sort of influences their emotional and mental state of mind. This may result into low self esteem and feelings of dejection may usurp them. It not only makes you less attractive but all leads to several other health problems which could even lead to terrible posture. No matter what your height is, it is important to maintain a good posture as it has a number of health benefits.

The only way to overcome such feelings is to make the most of your height. Instead of trying to hide it, embrace it and try to flatter it. Carry off yourself with grace. Know what to wear. Stick to wearing flat shoes instead of high heels. When it comes to choosing the type of pants, go for cigarette cut and cuffed pants. This type of pants tend to shorten your height.

I am VERY disappointed that you told tall women they should be confident in their height and then suggested they wear high heels! If you are tall then you haven't experienced greatness until you go out in high heels. It is SO liberating!! People have the nerve to ask me why I wear high heels and seem to almost be angry at me for it. What do I say? I say I'm already taller than you without them so why do you care whether I wear them or not? =) Or I will say "I"m already 6'2 why not be 6'4 really what difference does that make?

Another thing I do is when the ask me if I play basketball I do one of two things. I either ask them if they're a jocky OR I ask them if they play miniature gold professionally.

Thanks for the comment, Mary. However, we wish to clarify the fact that what we stated in this article, is meant for those who are over conscious and not very comfortable with their extra height, always looking for newer ways to hide it. Here in this article, we have discussed tallness as a problem. These tips are not for the ones who are already comfortable being taller than normal people.
