Signs of a Bad Relationship

Why does a relationship turn sour? How would you know that the emotional tie which you once had valued more than anything else has turned sour? We sometimes tend to sit back and think, ‘is this relationship good for me?’

If such questions are bothering you then your search ends here. Read on to know what is the state of an unhealthy relationship. We often think and believe that we share a healthy relation with our spouse. Until the time he dumps us and walks out leaving us all shattered and depressed with hopelessness.

The only thing that comes to our mind when we reach such a stage is ‘how could I have been such a fool? Why didn’t I read his mind earlier?’ and all such feelings fills our heart and soul with frustrations.

So coming back to the symptoms, here are some of the common ones which are easily noticeable when a personal liaison is in a soup.

1) Finding fault: one of the most common traits that have been noticed is finding fault. When you or your spouse starts finding fault about each other in every silly matter then its time to handle the situation for your relationship is going out of hand.

2) Change in sexual behavior: your spouse often ignores your advances when you want to share an intimate relation. The reason could be he/ she does not want to be in a situation where he/she has to confront his emotions.

3) Avoiding to talk about future: your partner might show his disinterestedness when you talk about the future. He might try to ward off the topic and show his evasiveness, which means he is not ready for the commitment.

4) Conversation cut short: conversation as in when you are on the phone, your partner may try to end up the conversation in a jiffy or he might also not take part in the conversation which we might misinterpret to his being a passive listener and loves listening to us.

5) Exit strategies: he might also try devise exit strategies like we need to give space to each other for time being, a very clever way of walking out of a relationship without hurting others emotion.

6) Isolation: he might isolate you from your friends. He would not want to want to take you along to family gatherings, parties etc. he is trying to distance away from you.

7) Lack of communication: though you have been living together but the last time u had a tête-à-tête was some 2 months ago, which means erosion has been taking place in your relationship.

8) Disrespect: he often chides and humiliates you in front of your friends over vague issues. He doesn’t respect your time and keeps you waiting. When he finally turns up offers you no apology. This means he doesn’t value your presence in his life.

9) Jealousy: jealousy is very often identified with love. We often think of it that he loves us and wants us only for himself. But in its true essence jealousy is due to lack of trust which leads to a bad relationship.

10) Discouragement: he discourages in your pursuits and forbids you from doing anything of your choice.

11) Forceful: he often compels you to do things which you don’t want to, it could be forcing you to see him when you don’t want to, loaning him money etc.

12) Lack of honesty: if your spouse is dishonest then the bond you share ceases to last long. He would go on lying to you about anything, which ultimately cuts short your emotional tie leading to the ultimate end of it.

13) Your spouse suddenly got busier then he ever was and doesn’t give you time.

14) Last but not the least is every time you try to reason out with him, it always ends in an argument with no solution.

If you see any of these indications then beware your relationship is heading towards the inevitable. The best way out is try to mend and save it before its too late. But if you feel that there is no way out then instead of rotting in a liaison which is not going to work the best thing is to put an end to the relationship.
